A GUIDE FOR FOSTER CARERS REGARDING CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

We hope you're all doing well, and we're thinking about you during this tough period. The health problems and concerns related to Coronavirus are sadly ongoing. We sincerely hope that this has the least amount of effect on you and your family as possible, but we understand the difficulties that are currently being faced.

We are following official guidelines from Public Health England and the Foreign Office as a Fostering Service helping infants, young people, and you.

WellCare Fostering Agency is following the Government's COVID-19 advice and ensuring that best practises and resources are followed. This is to ensure that everyone's well-being is prioritised, and that children, foster carers, staff, and other relevant parties receive the best possible care.

We are grateful to our foster parents, children, employees, and partners for their outstanding efforts in managing COVID-19 effectively.

Specific measures and responses from the agency include (but are not limited to):

• Our offices remain open and operational subject to safety measures for all staff and visitors
• Working from home for staff implemented where possible
• Practice Guidance and Support Policy implemented and shared with foster carers
• Other Guidance shared with external parties on working practices and support including panel members and Form F assessors
• COVID-19 Safety Plan implemented for all fostering households
• Staff Guidance Policy implemented and shared with staff
• Business continuity plan updated for COVID-19
