Who we are

An agency built around young people — and the carers who change their lives.

WellCare Fostering Services was established in 2004. We're a nationwide fostering agency with one purpose: supporting young people through fostering. Over more than twenty years, we've helped over 100 young people find safety, stability and someone in their corner.

We're rated Good by Ofsted, and we're proud to be a close-knit, family-like agency where our carers are known by name — not by number.

Why WellCare

What makes us different.

Choosing a fostering agency is a big decision. Here's what you can count on when you foster with us.

  1. 01

    Over twenty years of experience

Fostering since 2004 means we've seen what really helps carers and young people thrive — and built our support around it.

  2. 02

    Rated Good by Ofsted

We're independently inspected against national standards, so you can be confident in the quality of care and support. Read our February 2025 report

  3. 03

    Matching that's done properly

We take time to match each young person with a family whose home, experience and routines suit them — so placements have the best chance to succeed.

  4. 04

Real support, 24 hours a day

Day or night, every day of the year, you can reach the WellCare team whenever you need us.

  5. 05

    A family, not a number

A close-knit community of carers and a dedicated, diverse team who celebrate your wins and stand beside you on the hard days.

  6. 06

    Competitive allowances

A fostering allowance for every child in your care, paid alongside the training and support you receive.

Everyday moments that change everything.

Fostering is made of ordinary things done with care — breakfast, homework, a lift to football, a chat at bedtime.
